Description
Chinese tallow, also known as Triadica sebifera, is a fast-growing tree native to eastern Asia that has become naturalized in various parts of the United States. It is known for its heart-shaped leaves and small white flowers, which can give way to clusters of seeds surrounded by a waxy coating. While it was introduced for its ornamental value and for oil production, it is now considered an invasive species in many regions due to its ability to dominate landscapes and outcompete native plants.
