Description
The strawberry tree, scientifically known as Arbutus unedo, is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to the Mediterranean region and parts of Western Europe. It is characterized by its glossy, dark green leaves and clusters of small, white or pink bell-shaped flowers that bloom in the fall, followed by round, red, strawberry-like fruit. The fruit is edible and often used to make jams and liqueurs, although it has a mild flavor that some may find less appealing.
