Description
Cherry laurel, scientifically known as Prunus laurocerasus, is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to the Mediterranean region. It features glossy, dark green leaves and produces white flower spikes in the spring, followed by small berries. While often used as an ornamental plant in landscapes and hedges, all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested due to the cyanogenic compounds they contain.
